Occasionally,
we get to go on Charters for some marine fishing. This page is
dedicated to those charters and the Captains that keep us safe.
We will update this page as we go on more and more. Our customers
are more than welcome to come with us. Please check back to find
out when the next one will be as well as to see reviews and pictures
of the ones we have been to.

This time, there were 12 of us. Bob, Ted, Jack, Brian and others. Shelley came again as well. The morning began at 3:AM at Johnson's. Windy and rainy. It continued until we got on the boat and out into the bay. We saw sunshine after passing under the Golden Gate Bridge. The ocean was rough, and not all of us fared well with the waves.
We went out on the California Dawn again with Captain James. As before, he took good care of us. The California Dawn has a galley (and the cooks are terrific).
The crab pots had been set out the day before and we were not disappointed with the result. The crew pulled 9 pots and limited out the boat. There were 23 people on the boat and 4 crew members. 162 crabs in 9 traps! Once the pots were pulled, emptied and re-deployed, the Captain decided that it was too rough to go out to the islands for Ling and Rock Cod. He decided that the day wasn't over and we went back into the Bay for some Stripers in the North Bay. It was a pretty successful trip all in all. We landed about 10 fish, including a few Stripers about 7 lbs. and a Halibut weighing approx. 20 lbs. (which was the pot winner, and wasn't any of us. (Cory had a Halibut on that would have surely secured the pot, but it threw the hook before we even got to see it.)
Here are the pictures of the trip.

Bob, Brian, and Ted went
to Fort Bragg
for a Charter out of Noyo Harbor.
We left about 2:00 AM in the morning and returned about 6:30 PM.
A couple of regular customers, Harry and Shelley of Yuba City
along with Ted's wife Kerry also went on the charter. The crew
of the Sea Hawk at All Aboard Adventures were bright-eyed when we arrived at 6:00 AM. The
trip was in search of Rockfish again and there were plenty of
those. The ultimate prize was to catch a Ling Cod. By the end
of the day, the 19 people aboard had caught a lot of Rockfish.
There were only 4 Ling Cod caught, and Ted caught all of them.
See Ted's 15 lb. pot winning Ling Cod. Brian and Bob caught lots of Rockfish.
The Crew, Tim (Captain), Jim, and Cory were very helpful to everyone,
and we had a great time. Click here

pictures from the
day. On the way in, we ran into a huge pod of dolphins. See

Bob Boucke, Bob Bradbury, and Ted Yates went on a charter out of the Berkeley Marina. The Charter company we went with was California Dawn. The trip was for Rockfish and Ling Cod and we got plenty of both. Bob won the pot for the largest fish with a 20 lb. Ling. Click here to see the pictures.
